About this setup
The server is built around the thing art servers usually fail at: critique. So there is a channel explaining how feedback works here, a forum in which every post marks what its author is after, and a role through which everyone sets how direct people may be with them. Whoever asks for gentleness does not get taken apart - and whoever picks "be blunt" does not have to beg for it first. Finished work and unfinished work are separate: the gallery forum for what stands, the workshop for work in progress, sketches and discards, complete with a tag for "stuck". On top of that a dedicated area for first steps, where kindness comes first - the only way beginners show anything at all. Fifteen media from drawing through textiles to printmaking have their own roles, plus roles for your own area so that commission enquiries reach the right people. The commissions section separates looking, offering, pricing, experiences and legal matters - and says plainly that the server connects people and does not guarantee anything. AI images are not banned, but labelled and kept out of the critique area; the debate itself gets exactly one channel, so it does not happen everywhere. Weekly tasks, studies, daily sketches and a forum for learning paths make the server a place for practising, not just for showing.
