About this setup
Thought small, but not thin. A fixed group does not need thirty topic channels, but it does need a place for every kind of plan: meet-ups, games night, cinema, cooking, holidays, sport, lift sharing. Each of them has its own channel, so Tuesday's question can still be found on Friday. Memories live as a forum with tags for holiday, party, games night and concert. Pictures from last summer are gone from the chat after two weeks; as a post they stay and can be found again. Next to it a channel for the quotes of the year and one for anniversaries. The everyday area is the part you only miss once it is missing: shopping list, shared costs, help wanted, recommendations. Birthday planning sits behind permissions, so the surprise stays one. The roles are less about rank than about consideration: who is in for what, who does not eat what, and a voluntary mood role for the weeks when you would rather be left alone. The bot is fully set up, but turned down quieter than on a public server.
