Important: You Need Your Own Gemini API Key
Notoq AI uses Google Gemini under the hood – specifically the Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite model. To use AI features, you must create a free API key in Google AI Studio and add it to your Notoq settings. Purchasing this plan unlocks the AI features – but the AI itself runs via your own API key.
1. Create a free Google AI Studio account
Go to aistudio.google.com and sign in with your Google account.
2. Generate a Gemini API Key
Create a new API key – the key itself is free to generate.
3. Paste your key into Notoq Settings
After purchasing, go to your user settings and enter your API key there to activate all AI features.
Google charges based on usage. For small Discord servers (up to a few hundred members), costs are usually very low. Larger, more active servers will pay more. Most servers that actively use all AI features will land in the $0–$5/month range.
Your API key is stored securely and is never shared with third parties.

Everything you need to know about Notoq AI and the API key
A Gemini API Key is a personal access key for Google's AI service. It is free to create and allows Notoq to use Google's AI models to process your server's data – directly from your account, not ours. This gives you full control over your data and usage.
Go to aistudio.google.com, sign in with your Google account, and click on 'Get API Key'. Generating the key itself is free. Keep in mind that Google charges based on actual usage – costs are typically low for smaller servers.
Your API key is stored in encrypted form in our system and is never shared with third parties. It is used exclusively to run AI features on your server. You can revoke or replace your key at any time in your user settings.
After purchasing the AI plan, go to your profile settings at /users. There you will find the AI section where you can paste your Gemini API key. Once saved, all AI features are activated immediately.
Google charges based on actual API usage. The key itself is free to create. For most servers the costs won't be much, but they are not zero. Small servers with a few hundred members will pay very little; larger, more active servers will pay more. Based on our data, 99% of all servers fall within the €0–5 per month range. We recommend checking Google's current Gemini pricing before purchasing. We use the Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite model, which is Google's most cost-efficient AI model.
